Mirara (Polynesian for fly fishing) has been owned and restored by the owner of Traditional Boat, LLC over a 15 year period, and his personal boat. Her restoration has included multiple new frames and floor timbers, a new forefoot-stem section, replacement of iron backbone fasteners with bronze, replacement of multiple planks forward and most of the port garboard, new rudder, cast bronze gudgeons, bronze rudderpost, molding, toe and rub rails, fashion piece, cockpit benches and bulkhead, cockpit and cabin soles, restoration of her bronze hardware, a new jib club, complete interior and exterior refinishing, replacement of some of her standing and running rigging and bronze turnbuckles and new set of sails.
